Greco-Roman Wrestling
In Greco-Roman wrestling, athletes are not permitted to hold their opponent below the waist, which means they cannot use their legs to strike or defend. Upper body strength and actions are crucial to this style of wrestling, such as grappling and throwing with the shoulders and arms. In Greco-Roman wrestling, since it exclusively uses the hands and upper body, gripping or using the legs is strictly prohibited.
